Advent Midweek Worship: The Grandparents of Jesus

This year’s shared Advent journey uplifts the ancestors who carried the promise of the Messiah forward. Beginning Wednesday, December 3, each week features a different host congregation and preacher, with a Service of Holy Communion. See our calendar for more details.

  • Advent Bible Study

This Advent we’ll explore how God’s promises often appear in unexpected ways—“out of the blue”—through the surprising stories of Jesus’ ancestors in Matthew’s genealogy and the birth stories of the Gospels. Bible study is at Tremont Coffee on Erie Street Mondays at 6pm and Wednesdays at 10 am, beginning November 9, 2025

    Holiday Movie Nights

Lutherans in Massillon are teaming up for a family-friendly movie night at Christ Lutheran (3545 Amherst Ave NW) on Sunday, December 7 and 21 at 4:30 p.m. A potluck dinner will be shared at the intermission.

Come in comfy clothes, bring a friend or grandchild, and enjoy a simple, joyful rhythm of storytelling, fellowship, and food as we make room for Advent hope together.

  • Christmas Eve Worship

As the night grows still and the candles are lit, we gather to celebrate the holy night of Christ’s birth. Our 7:00 pm Christmas Eve service on Tuesday, December 24 will feature the beloved pattern of lessons and carols, candlelight and Holy Communion.

  • Cookies and Carols

A festive and family-friendly service on December 28 at 9am. We'll snack on cookies, sing carols, and continue celebrating the 12 days of Christmas.
